CNY Fair Market organized by SRACP with W! Foundation

Large populations of non-Chinese communities namely Nepalese, Vietnamese, and Pakistanis are living in the Yau Tsim Mong District and although many of which may have been living in Hong Kong for some time, they may not be familiar with the Chinese traditions and cultures. Thus, many find difficulties in integrating into the local community. Through the Chinese New Year festivals, the Lunar New Year projects aim to enrich the non-Chinese communities about the traditions during this festive season through a series of activities.

Lunar New Year Carnival organized by SRACP with W! Foundation

The tour linked up the historic buildings and sites in the area such as Former French Mission Building, Former Dairy Farm Depot and Man Mo Temple, enabling participants to have a better understanding of the growth and development of the districts. The tour is specifically targeted for the Non-Chinese community members but at the same time encurage local Chinese to share their history.

This can further enhance community integration and by participating in activities together, participants can exchange and share as well as build friendships with each other.
